Quake 4 cd key bypass4/4/2024 In case you don't already knowĮcho this, the FULL registered version is also included in encryptedĮcho form on this same CD ROM. it does say that the full version is on this disk, i went to the right clickmenu and opened the edit option for the bat file and found thisĮcho You are about to install the Shareware version, Episode 1,Įcho of Quake to your harddrive. the quake icon one works but it seems to install a folder called idstuff and i couldnt find anything usefull in it so its got to be the other one. the cd doesnt respond to any normal doubleclicking but there is a install.bat and a setup.exe with a quake icon in the main folder of the cd. i cant even see the contents of the cd without going into windows explorer. i feel like ****ing cartman after he buys those sea people and finds out he got ripped off after they turn out to be tiny shrip.Ĭlick to expand.yeah. he better send me the full version like i thought i paid for or ill find him and slice his ****ing balls off with a cheese grater. wtf!?!?!? does anyone know if there is some trick to getting this cd to work as the full version or did id really sell the shareware version for profit? why would they have the doom shareware version on the net for free, then switch gears and start selling quakes shareware version, and then go back to giving shareware on the net for free with quake 2 and so on? i contacted the person i bought it from and he says he never sells shareware games, while a lable on the front package has "EPISODE 1 SHAREWARE". i tried calling this number thinking its maybe some kind of conformation key to get the full version to work or something and instead get directed to some kinky phone sex hotline. on the front of the package it has a "compusa's quake unlock center" with a 1-800 phone number afterwards. does anyone know if id actually put the shareware version on the market for a price? i thought you got shareware versions on the net for free. only problem is, it is apparently the shareware version. it came in a fold out package like the doom collectors edition with a facny little booklet as well. I think this is going to be the end of my investigation.I recently purchased what i thought was the full version of the original quake. If there's a way to fix that, I don't know what it is, or where to start looking. It would appear that the game is set to run the intros for their proper duration even if you remove the files. The black screen went away after I hit 'escape' three times, exactly like I was skipping the normal intros manually. ![]() pk4 file with all the empty files I'd created/copied in the hopes that I could come up with a fix that didn't require diving into all of the other ones, but that produced the same result. And that got me a lengthy black screen before the menu opened. So I went about replacing those with empty audio files. Under the 'sound\cinematics\bumpers' subfolder. The intro videos, it turns out, are made up of separate video and sound files. and the sound from the videos before the menu opened. Running the game again, instead of the intros, I got a black screen. You can open these with, I assume, any unzipping software. So I took that smaller file, copied and renamed it, and replaced all the other videos with it. In pak024.pk4 and pak025.pk4, there is a much smaller version of the Activision logo video, which I assume is there to replace the original one that is now no longer used due to the game now being published by Bethesda. After fiddling around more with the files, I got a bit further. Maybe that will unlock the option to skip the intro. ![]() To make Console active with only ~, type: ![]() Save the shortcut and then that should work now. If that works and you want to want to use a shortcut on your desktop, just change the part of the shortcut text that says Quake4.exe to quake4-nointro.bat Save it in your Quake 4 directory as: quake4-nointro.bat (not )Ĭlick on the bat file in the Quake 4 directory, and the game should run without the intro. Batch files are just text files that end with. If that doesn't work, I'd try to change where the quotes are, like this:Īlternatively, go to your Quake 4 installation folder and make a batch file. Replace G with the drive letter you installed to and make sure your folder paths are accurate. Just to double check, your shortcut should read something similar to this: I've also heard of this command line option, but it doesn't work for me: When the game runs, the ESC key can skip some of the intros.
